It is important to go barefooted as frequently as possible. Our feet were designed to connect to the Earth. Every time your foot touches the Earth, the nerves on the soles of your feet are stimulated which in turn stimulate specific organs of your body.
The brain and the feet communicate through nerve signals. The brain sends signals down to the foot and leg to tell them to carry out an action, and the foot sends sensory signals up to the brain to give the brain information about what they are experiencing. The signals are transmitted through the spine by what are known as Spinal Tracts.
The more padded your feet are the fewer opportunities the nerves on the soles of your feet have to send signals to the brain about what they are feeling.

Focus on the parts of your body that tingle every time you put your foot to the pavement or dirt. Walking barefoot stimulates brain activity and body movement. Try it, you’ll like it.
